as this is a shared space for many creatives, we expect you to respect it as if it was your own. please abide by these rules

please don’t…

smoke or vape in our space, there is a sidewalk outside you may use if needed

light candles/have open flames

drag furniture across the room, you may move the furniture just be careful you don’t drag & scratch our floors

please do not attach things to the walls to avoid messing up the paint/drywall

please no pets - unless given special permission. we wan’t to make this a place everyone can use so we want to be cautious of allergies

create adult film productions/sex acts on the property. (boudoir shoots are fine!)

use illegal drugs on the property

please be mindful of the space & our neighbors. we are apart of a community of entrepreneurs & share a wall with a shared office space.

please do not let small children out on the roof deck without an adult.

damage our studio/props! we worked hard to curate a beautiful space & would love if you respected it the same!

don’t throw/use glitter. our floors have large grooves in them that glitter can easily get trapped in :)

just a reminder - that your session begins & ends at the time you have booked it for! all set up and tear down must be done within this time frame. if you fail to do so, you will be charged for an additional hour! (you can always book more time during your shoot if you need, as long as no one is booked directly after you!)

 FAQs

  • the attic is a space for creatives, non-creatives & everyone in-between. because our space is in the heart of downtown hastings, we want it to be a space that local small businesses can utilize for product shoots, team headshots, & a place to feel inspired. the attic is also available for event rental with up to 45 in attendance. this could be for a baby shower, bridal shower, styled shoot, whatever your heart desires. we can’t wait to see how you use our space to get your creative juices flowing.

  • once you book your time slot, you will be sent an email with directions on how to enter the building & where to park. you will receive a unique door code to get into the secure space via text an hour before your booking. the text will go to the phone number used to book the space. the attic is located on the second story of our building, so please be mindful when booking the space that you will need to use the flight of stairs to get into the building, as there is no elevator available.

  • please make sure that when deciding on a time block, that you have included your set up & tear down time along with your shoot or event. we do expect you to leave the studio as you found it, so please make sure you allot time for moving furniture back to its original space, cleaning up after yourself, etc. as long as there is no one booked after you, you are always welcome to add on more time if needed, but this can’t be guaranteed. if you go over your time limit, you will be invoiced for an extra hour of time.

  • YES! we have the grooviest bathroom for all your selfie & outfit changing needs.

  • non-members have access to the calendar 60 days out. & members have access to the calendar 6 months out. if you are in need of booking an event, please reach out and we will accommodate you the best we can!

  • again, YES. if you are a member you have the opportunity to rent a locker starting at an extra $120 a year. these are secure lockers that only you will have access to. you can store gear, props, whatever you need, so you don’t have to haul it up the stairs every time you shoot :)

  • there is not an office in the attic where you’d be able to set up & edit your projects. BUT, right next door there are offices available to rent. contact dave rippe for more information at dave@queencityne.com or 402-705-7283.
